CHLA Environmental Portrait Series

This portrait series for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles captures physicians, researchers, and clinical leaders in the environments where their work happens.

The approach moved beyond traditional headshots to create images that feel cinematic, credible, and human. Each setup was built around the subject’s real setting—operating rooms, imaging suites, labs, and clinical spaces—using lighting, composition, and environmental detail to connect each person to the work they lead.

The resulting portrait library balances warmth with authority and was designed to support editorial stories, service line marketing, web content, donor communications, and campaign materials.
